Peter E. Hosey concentrates his practice In the areas of business, real estate, andoil and gas transactions. Mr. Hosey has extensive experience in various business transactions, including the acquisition and development of properties; zoning and other forms of land use control; platting and other residential real estate development issues; the purchase and sale of ranch properties; oil and gas transactions, including the purchase and sale of income producing properties and attendant pipeline facilities; gas purchase contracts; preparing title opinions; and joint operating agreements and farm outs.

Mr. Hosey has been involved in general business transactions, acquisitions and other matters. He has represented both sellers and purchasers in the sale and purchase of real estate, the development of residential subdivisions, the purchase and sale of ranch real estate, including the purchase and sale of commercial and other income producing properties. He has also represented parties in the negotiation and preparation of oil and gas leases, title opinions, oil and gas financial transactions, as well as representing oil and gas operators in the purchase and sale of income producing properties, pipelines, regulatory matters, gas purchase agreements, joint operating agreements, farmouts, and other oil and gas related transactions for both domestic and foreign based clients.

Mr. Hosey has served as an expert witness in oil and gas and land title related litigation.

Mr. Hosey has also represented telecommunication companies in the negotiation and preparation of billing and collection agreements, local exchange carrier contracts and has advised clients in general telecommunication transactions.

Texas State Bar, 1979: Member of the San Antonio Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He is also a member of the State Bar College of the State Bar of Texas and the Joint Editorial Board for the Texas Title Examination Standards published in the Texas Property Code. He is a past President of the Natural Resources Committee of the San Antonio Bar Association. He is also a member of the Oil, Gas and Energy, and the Real Estate and Probate Sections of the State Bar of Texas.


Mr. Hosey was named a 2007 San Antonio "Best Lawyer" for Real Estate Law by Scene in SA Monthly.
